About Mary Hutchison
Why did I choose real estate as a career? Many reasons, and one of the most important is that I wanted better control over my time to balance the two strong desires most women I know have: work for self-fulfillment and income while taking care of a family. I gladly work seven days a week at times to be there for my girls as they grow into young women. I want to be a role model for them as well, showing them that doing a job you love is important as well as having a happy family life. Also, I’ve always enjoyed exploring homes, architecture, neighborhoods. Helping people fulfill the American Dream of home ownership is a privilege.
Let’s be honest…people like to have working relationships with people they know and like. So here’s a little information about me:
I grew up in St Louis and have lived in Kansas City since the mid 1980s. Before embarking on a real estate career, I was a rock ‘n roll DJ (trivia tests welcome!), followed by several years working for Hyatt Hotels and the Convention and Visitors Association of Greater Kansas City. My husband and I own a home in Brookside—we feel it’s one of the best neighborhoods in the city. Our daughters Erin and Siena attend nearby schools and we are members of St Peter’s Church. I serve as codes enforcement volunteer for the Armour Hills Homes Association and also volunteer at KCUR radio, St Peter’s School and St Teresa’s Academy. In my free time I enjoy reading, local theater, discussing current events, baking, movies and having friends over on the back patio!
One final note: I’m not a pushy or obnoxious salesperson who will hover over you to get your business. Let's meet and talk. If we feel comfortable with each other, we'll move forward into a business relationship. I’m happy to provide numerous references from satisfied clients. I’ve been blessed to have many clients become good friends in the buying/selling process, and it’s one of the best benefits of my career.
When you decide that you'd like to buy or sell a home in the Kansas City area, or if you just want some information, please contact me. I look forward to meeting you!
